Happy Mondays fellow fashion style moguls! Happy belated 4th of July my fellow fashion style moguls out there in the States. Welcome to my fashion blog, it is amazing to have you on board because I have been waiting for you!
The reason I choose the name wintour is because of Anna Wintour who is the editor in chief of American vogue magazine. When I think of vogue magazine, fashion and style come to my mind in a heart beat! What about you fellow fashion style mogul, what comes to your mind when you think about vogue magazine? July is finally here and we all know what that means here in Nairobi, it is cold or we are in winter(at least there is no snow, phew). It is never easy to dress for the cold, am wondering if ya’all fashion style moguls share the same sentiments, lol!(please tell me am not the only one who thinks that way…..). During the cold seasons I prefer some good thick sweat pants, a hoodie and house shoes, did i add some gloves? Okay, I guess am being a little extra here or am I not?(lemme know…). The reason for my preference is because these items are comfortable, soft on the skin and loosely fitted to
allow me to curl up for warmth(classic me,lol!). The problem is i can only wear them for too long because they are limited to the rendezvous you can go to. Facing this kind of challenge allowed me to get creative with my high waist-ed denim jeans which is a little number that I only wore during the hot days because let’s keep it real here, jeans don’t really keep you warm and they ain’t that soothing to your skin either(i see you nodding because am right, lol!). For this post I decided to be your official girl since it’s a Monday by wearing my high waist-ed jeans in an official manner, keeping the look very wintour#fashionable#stylish and above all things keeping it warm(which is what we all need…..thumbs up if you feel me, mine is up, hope yours is too). I wore a very long fitted turtle neck sweated top which is one of my favorite pieces in my closet and tucked it in my jeans for an over the top.com look. You can never go wrong with
classic black, it is timeless, slimming(lol!), chic, versatile, sophisticated and so much more…….when in doubt, always wear black… As for my shoes I went for my louboutin pumps, you can never go wrong with pumps for a formal look and they are red bottoms to add the cherry on top! I decided to carry my blue Susen bag to give a boss lady kind of vibe, vavavum! I added a neck piece to give the outfit a little more uuummphh! I folded the jeans at my ankle to give the look a more polished vibe and for the visibility of the shoes(i just had to,lol!). Kindly lemme know what you think about the look on the comment box below because I love me some feed back and kindly answer the questions I asked, they weren’t rhetorical(I was actually asking, lol!)
