Keep your heels, head and standards high…….
Good morning fellow fashion style moguls? How is the weekend? What are your plans? I remember saying that I will tell you where I did my shoot and the beauty about it is that the photos will prove it and since am a woman of my words as my grandma’ taught me to be then here it is! Do you want to be a successful actress like Lupita Nyong’o? I know what you are thinking?
She had to go to Yale school of drama for her masters in acting and before that she did her degree in film and theater studies in Hampshire college. That was basically her path but we have different paths and like most people in Hollywood, acting was never really their profession as they say during interviews but most of them have had to take acting lessons to perfect their craft, that is why they are called stars, because they are better than the average folk.
This is the reason why you can not compare most of the amateur actors and actresses in Kenya to those in the West and that is why they can not be as good as the Hollywood actors because they tend to rely on their mere talent which is basically not enough. I will give an example, I loved to argue alot since I was young and that is why I decided to study law despite the other courses I had chosen so as to perfect my argumentative skills and back them up with facts and the law itself, otherwise I would just be a bickering soul if I didn’t study the law, and so does it apply to acting!
A few months ago Patience Ozokwor, Gerald Langiri and Micheal Gbenga Kayode among other people in the acting community in Kenya launched/opened an acting school here in Kenya which offers so many things; acting for film and television, presenting for television, cinematography, script writing for film and Tv, News production and Reporting, Video editing, film making on a micro budget, directing for film and television. Since I will be going back there to do a shoot soon, I will tell you more about this place then but for now I will leave you the name of the place so that you can click the link and know more about it by yourselves.
I decided to pair my wash dungaree with a silver crop top, yellow heels and carry a clutch so that I can transform this look from daytime to night time because it’s the weekend, can I get an Amen for versatility? Don’t forget to tell your friends about this post, sharing is caring and leave your thoughts on the comment box and let’s communicate! Link of the Africa Film and television talent resource centre is below on the location.
