The Pope finally came to Kenya on Wednesday, he arrived at around 4pm. I will not speak for all the Kenyans but I will speak for my mums because I witnessed their excitement first hand.
I have two mums, my biological mum and my second mum who is the biological mum to my brothers and the wife to my dad. I happen to live with my second mum, my dad and brothers and I have to tell you she was walking all over the house singing Santa Maria and other Catholic hymns, her excitement about the Pope coming was contagious that we all had to be excited.
My biological mum on the other hand kept on calling me to tell me that she could not wait to go see him and all I could do was tell her that I was happy for her because I had no other words for her, literally. Together with the Consolata missionary sisters they left their premises at 4am and walked to University of Nairobi from Westlands yesterday to attend the mass the Pope was conducting.
It was attended by hundreds of thousand from all over the country and he has been trending on social media with #Popeintown. I am happy that the Pope is here in Kenya and it is an honor to host such a great man of God. To all my friends in the States, I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving. Am glad it’s Friday, which means showcasing my last Apparel of the waist-tie trend.
I wore a short with a crop top and since they were both blue I decided to tie a black shirt instead to break the contrast and let’s face it, one can ever go wrong in black. I also added a brown pair of ankle boots which took the look from 50 to 100! I had fun doing dress up on this particular waist trend edition, I hope you loved the results in every post this week. Have a lovely weekend fellow fashion moguls!
