Here’s to STRONG WOMEN
May we know them
May we be them
May we raise them
I know what you are all thinking…..I have probably lost it…..well, maybe more like lost track of time. This post is literally overdue because the event was on March 8th but I say better late than never, or that is what I say to console myself. This was an amazing day for me, not because we were celebrating women but more because I was giving a speech. I appear to be confident but am a very shy person and I am an introvert, so you can imagine the pressure…I did give my speech and it wasn’t that bad.
This year the theme of the International Women’s day was gender parity and did you know the theme color for this special day is purple and I coincidentally wore purple! We did a lot of meditation with Niurupan an Indian meditation guru who had traveled all the way from India and we also did a lot of yoga. The event was held by Wanayran Alvarez Angerer who is a musician, a philanthropist and an entertainer among other things. My friend who is a budding blogger also attended the event and I took a few pictures with her. You can follow her blog on www.eesome.co.ke
The event was a huge success, there were custom made clothes, bags and shoes that were being sold by designers, I could not resist taking pictures with some of the items. My photographer and I did showcase the photos I had posted on my blog a while back about the Kenyan culture and it was pure bliss!!!
Stay fashionable, stay stylish and be a fashion style mogul!
